About this course
Analytics apps on the Salesforce platform
CRM Analytics (formerly Tableau CRM and Wave) is Salesforce's native analytics engine. It ingests data from Salesforce objects and external systems, stores it in fast columnar datasets, and lets you explore and visualise it in interactive dashboards embedded right inside the CRM. This course gives you the practical workflow used to ship real analytics apps.
We start with the platform overview and setup, then connect data and build datasets. You'll learn the crucial difference between Recipes and Dataflows and when to use each, explore data with Lenses, and assemble dashboards that decision-makers actually use. Two deeper lessons cover SAQL — the query language underneath every widget — and bindings, which make dashboards interactive and dynamic.
Who it's for: admins, analysts, and consultants who want to move beyond standard reports and dashboards. Prerequisites: familiarity with Salesforce objects and reporting. Outcome: you'll be able to prepare data, build a multi-widget dashboard, write SAQL to shape results, and wire up interactivity with bindings. This is a members-only course with a free preview lesson.
